That could, of course, be just walking alongside Lake Windermere, or even sitting back and watching the world go by with Windermere Lake Cruises. As for a true adventure in the Lake District, there are plenty of companies offering outdoor activities that are slightly more challenging. So how about canyoning, abseiling or scrambling? You could go water rafting in the rougher lakes, or even hiring a kayak can still provide an adventure all of its own.
Then there are those adventures on 4 wheels, which again aren’t just restricted to car journeys and long drives. Quad biking and 4×4’s can be fantastic fun too. Then of course, if the weather does change, you can bring your outdoor activities inside at the Ambleside climbing wall.
Keeping Fit in the Lake District
Walking, running and cycling may well be the conventional ways to keep fit, however other activities are just as beneficial. Not only that, but while you enjoy a relaxing in a hot tub in your Windermere spa suite, you can also keep healthy! After all, there are a number of health benefits to hot tubs. All of which is good for the mind, body and soul.
If, however, you prefer to be active during your spa break there are still other ways of keeping fit.
