When is the Bowness Bay Blues Weekend?
The Bowness Bay Blues Weekend takes place across the 12th, 13th and 14th April. There are several venues taking part, so why not book a package break in Windermere and see as much of the line-up as possible.
Although the Blues Cruise with Sean Webster has sold out, there are plenty more performances available. Ticket prices vary, with Friday just £20. Saturday and Sunday are between £30 and £35, while a weekend ticket is only £70.
If you go for the latter, then why not book yourself a package break in Windermere. Where you can enjoy some fantastic spa treatments at the same time. Start your morning with a massage, head out for a late breakfast and then get ready for the live entertainment. What’s more, by staying at a spa suite in Windermere, you can end the night in your own private hot tub.
Who’s playing at the Bowness Bay Blues Weekend?
This is a fantastic opportunity to check out new music alongside artists you may already be familiar with. If you’ve not heard of any of the music on offer, then you’re in for a treat. If you are a fan of the blues, then expect to hear some classic tunes along the way.
The Friday night starts at 3pm, with the duo of Mat Walklate and Alex Haynes playing an afternoon slot at the Lake District Boat Club. Covers bands always go down well on a Friday night, so moving away from traditional blues are Thin Lizzy tribute, Five and Dangerous.
Saturday music starts at midday, where you can head back to the Lake District Boat Club for the Elderly Brothers. If you’re looking for a Saturday night out, then the Wheelhouse is one of the best venues during the Bowness Bay Blues Weekend. Both Rev Doc & the Flying Squad and Connie Lush are acts looking to bring something special to the party.
If you fancy heading to a pub with a view, then Sean Taylor overlooks Lake Windermere Sunday lunchtime at the Lake View Garden Bar. Our top tip for the festival are Catfish, also playing on the Sunday and back at the Wheelhouse.
As for the full line-up, check the official website, complete with stage times and more information about each artist.
